OR ARE YOU 100% SURE IF YOU WERE TO DIE TONIGHT THAT YOU WOULD GO TO HEAVEN?
Dear Precious Friend,
This is an all-important question, for, all of us will step into eternity one day. And when that day comes, there will be a Creator with Whom we will come face to face, and Who will ask us for our “ticket,” if you will, into His kingdom, an eternity in heaven. You see, that “ticket” is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ, and according to His Word, there is no other way in. One man, named Thomas, asked Jesus the way—Jesus’ reply was:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Read it for yourself, it’s in John chapter 14, verse 6.
Please allow me to start at the beginning:
In the beginning was the Word (another name for Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1). He was from the beginning, from everlasting or eternity past, meaning, He always was. He created everything, including us (That's in Genesis chaps. 1 & 2). He made all things with perfect splendor. And He gave man one rule and one rule only: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die (Genesis 2:17). But when the deceiver came (the devil, Satan) and tempted man with his subtlety and lies, mankind fell for the trap and committed one sin: disobedience. With this event the entire race of mankind, indeed- the entire creation, fell from the state of perfect splendor and was tainted with sin (Genesis 3; Romans 5:12; 8:22). Want proof that we are born with this stain of sin? Here it is: Do you ever have to teach a child to tell a lie? To disobey? To get angry? Of course not, it’s in man’s nature now, ever since Adam.
Unfortunately, sin carries with it a penalty, like breaking a law would. Except we cannot escape God’s penalty, or judgment. As God stated back in Genesis 2:17, the penalty for disobedience, sin, is death. The Book of Romans reminds us of this in chapter 6 verse 23: For the wages of sin is death. Now this “death” that the Bible talks about is not just simply death of the flesh, because as you know, we are all going to die one day. But that’s the problem, what about after death? Then there is spiritual death, an eternal separation from God in a place of torment, what the Bible calls hell and the lake of fire. The terrifying (for the unsaved) book of Revelation gives this account of judgment day in chapter 20, verses 12-15:
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Now the all too common question that the sinner is all too quick to ask, hardly ever waiting around to hear the answer is: How can a “loving God” send someone to hell?
First, God is love, and He doesn’t send anyone to hell, remember, man sinned, not God. Second and most important, because God is love He sent His only begotten Son down to this filth (compared to the glory of heaven) to die a horrible, agonizing, drawn out death like a common criminal, naked and beaten bloody on a cross, nails holding Him up there through His hands and feet, in our place. Yes, He took the penalty for us. Because He is God (remember John 1:1) and an infinite Being, and sinless, only He was able to suffer the infinite punishment of death (as defined by the Bible) for all of us. Now to prove that He was God and that He could guarantee a ticket to heaven, he did something that no one had ever done nor has done since: three days after He was buried He rose from the dead! By the way, He rose by His own power! (Matthew 28:5-6)
There is only one thing: you must accept that sacrifice for your sins!
You see, in order to get into heaven, we must be born again (John 3:3) and we can only be born again by accepting Jesus’ payment for our sin (remember John 14:6). Remember Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death...” ? Well that verse continues: "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." See that, eternal life, heaven, is a GIFT! Now that you see what a loving God offers us as a free gift, wouldn’t you want to receive it right now, right where you are???
Here’s how the Bible says we receive it:
Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Notice it says shall be saved, not “might be” or “hopefully one day may be”, no, it says SHALL BE SAVED! Here’s "how to call upon the Lord" and be saved: Talk to Him, call out to Him, ask Him.
You can receive this free love gift of heaven right now by bowing your head and talking to the Lord, believing with all your heart what He did for you, and call upon Him to save you. Receive Him as your personal Saviour today.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” – John 1:12
Now, if you just received the Lord Jesus Christ, then according to God’s Word, you are SAVED!!! Won’t you now just take a moment to thank Him for saving your soul from hell? Now you can turn your life around to live for Him by His power (Philippians 4:13).
GOD BLESS YOU SO MUCH!!! Welcome to the family!
Please let us know so that we can rejoice with you.
Also, if you just got saved, please email us, there are some important steps you need to take right away because the devil is going to try to lie to you and discourage you now like never before!
